Absinthe is not a note that belongs in most oriental fragrances, and Flores-Roux uses it here to cut through the expected sweetness of myrrh with something bitter and slightly medicinal. The myrrh itself is layered, a resin accord that reads as both dry and balsamic, jasmine threading through the heart with a quiet richness. Sandalwood and leather in the base give Myrrhe Mystere its dark, dry finish, vanilla arriving late to soften the edges rather than sweeten the whole.

Why We Carry This

Myrrhe Mystere is the Private Blend release that most rewards patience. The absinthe-myrrh opening is unusual enough to require a second wearing before the structure becomes clear, and once it does, the leather-sandalwood base proves the initial complexity was earned. It sits at the darker end of our Tom Ford selection deliberately.
