Amabile
Amabile, the Italian musical term for sweet and tender, opens with aldehydes giving the bergamot and lemon a luminous, slightly soapy quality that feels classic and deliberate rather than dated. The floral heart, rose and iris with jasmine and violet, is soft and full without any individual note dominating. Ambrette in the white musk base is the material choice that lifts the composition: its musky, slightly nutty quality gives the drydown a warmth and skin-close intimacy that standard white musk cannot achieve. The kind of fragrance that rewards close attention.
Why We Carry This
Amabile demonstrates that Xerjoff's skill with material quality applies equally to classical floral construction as it does to their Middle Eastern oud compositions. The aldehyde opening and ambrette base frame a conventional floral heart with enough distinction to justify the Casamorati positioning. The blush bottle with rose-gold cap is among the house's more elegant objects.
