Groove Xcape is Xerjoff in a lighter register, the Xcape collection's contemporary aesthetic visible from the opening: bergamot and grapefruit given a spiced edge by pink pepper before geranium takes the heart into aromatic, slightly rosy territory. Cedar and cardamom give the mid-stage structure, violet rounding the composition into something warmer. Vetiver in the base adds an earthiness to the sandalwood that keeps the finish from reading as generic woody-fresh. Versatile and clean, but with more character than the category average.
