Xerjoff does not disclose the notes of More Than Words, by design. What the fragrance reveals on skin is a jammy, deep damask rose opening with cardamom giving it warmth and spice before oud and olibanum take over in the heart with a frankincense-resin character that is both solemn and rich. The labdanum and benzoin base give the composition a balsamic sweetness that the oud heart earns, and ambergris extends the drydown into something skin-close and persistent. The decision to keep the notes private is itself a statement about how the fragrance is meant to be experienced.
