Nio
Nio opens with the combination of bergamot and neroli that the Shooting Stars collection treats as a regional signature: Calabrian citrus at its most direct and freshest. Green notes give the opening a slight herbal edge, and then cardamom and pink pepper arrive with a warmth that shifts the accord toward aromatic spice. The jasmine in the heart is restrained, present as a note rather than a dominant floral, supporting the spice mid-stage. Vetiver and guaiac wood in the base give the composition a dry, slightly smoky depth that holds the amber and patchouli close to the skin through a long drydown.
Why We Carry This
Nio represents the Xerjoff approach to woody aromatic at its most considered. The Italian citrus opening and the vetiver-guaiac wood base are in genuine dialogue, and the cardamom-pink pepper bridge makes the transition feel earned. Strong longevity for a composition this fresh at the opening.
